Leopard Hills, 14 Years of Outstanding Service, Dedication and Commitment
Where have the years gone since we stood on a rocky outcrop looking out over the bush and the Leopard Hills dream began?
There are so many memories we have over the last 14 years, so many laughs, so many incredible experiences, and yes a few tears as well.
I have been through the entire weblog article we have compiled since its inception, choosing some of the memorable times out and about in the Bush and in and around the Lodge.
Click on the links below for a walk down memory lane.
Who can forget that infamous night we got a call from our Security to say there were Leopards Mating in the Reception area on the Persian Carpet!!
The Tegwane Male Leopard takes Makwela out on a date to the Leopard Hills Reception Area
A day Louise and I will never forget. How that day started so normally and changed so quickly.
Another typical day in the African Bush……….NOT!!!!!
A little bit of fun and “tongue in cheek”
Earth Hour at Leopard Hills
Sometimes we didn‘t even have to leave the Lodge before we had our first dangerous encounter!!
Run Gary Run!!
Who can forget the amazing footage Hannes managed to capture of the Mopogs Males fighting over a Lioness?
What happens when two male lions meet while a lioness is in estrous?
I think one of those classic memories will be the morning, as the Rangers left on Safari; there was a very unusual happening in our Gym. We always said too much exercise can be dangerous for you!!!!!
There’s a Leopard in the Gym
There are just too many memories to capture in one article, but I think you get the message.
Leopard Hills has been blessed to have so many dynamic people, past and present, that have contributed to making us what we are today, we salute you all and thank you for the incredible contribution. There are a number of Staff who have been with Louise and I for the entire 14 years we have been here, we salute you in particular, what an amazing road we have travelled together.
To the Kruger Family that have become part of our Family and vice versa, who showed faith in us all those years ago, thank you for the opportunity and experiences, but most of all, thank you for the friendship over the years.
To Jack Brotherton, from the early pioneering day’s right through to the present, thank you for all the efforts put into this amazing place we call “Home”.
Most of all, to my wife Louise, this journey would not have been possible without you; there are no words to express the gratitude and respect I have for you, as we have walked this path together.
So onto the future, we will embrace the years ahead with enthusiasm, and look forward to welcoming you all to our special part of Africa.
