Ximungwe lioness and her cub

There is a small pride of lions that graces us with their presence from time to time. The two Ximungwe lionesses sometimes come in and move along the northern section of the property.

During the latest visit from these felines, they brought along a new member of the pride. This got us all excited as we have not yet seen the young Ximungwe cub.

It seems as if the cub is around six months old. We watched the youngster and mom interacting and suckling.

Although the Ximungwe visit was brief, we look forward to seeing the cubs’ development over the next few months.
